5. Stumble a little
There are a lot of ways to stumble. You can stumble by clicking the stumble button, you can stumble an interest, a particular stumblers favorites, or just other stumblers. These are on your tool bar and you can just experiment as you go, but get a little stumbling under your belt to get familiar with how it works.
Once you have stumbled awhile, you'll find what works for you. I rarely just click the stumble button. That's because I have a lot of varied interests and when I am interested in something, I tend to only be interested in that one thing and I don't want stumbles on the other subjects I am interested in. Most often, I stumble a subject, or I find a stumbler I like and I stumble their favorites.
Experiment with this a little and you'll see the possibilities.

6. Rates some sites
Okay, now you have stumbled some sites. On any site, you can either thumbs it up using the button on the toolbar, thumbs it down, or do nothing.
If I like a page, that's easy, I thumbs it up. I rarely thumbs down a page, unless I think that no one will like it. I usually just go on. A thumbs up does not mean I agree with the content of the page. It means I think it is worth looking at.
I almost always thumbs up stumblers, just because they are here and their blog is a creative expression of who they are. If I don't like a blog, I just don't rate it unless it is hateful. Yes, they happen, but not much. I do flag sites that are obviously spam with no other content (The flags on the stumblers page, bottom right.)
SU is smart. The more pages you thumbs up, the more pages like that SU will send you.

7. Add a picture to your blog
If you have not reviewed any pages (and if you've been following this outline, you haven't), you will see that your thumbs upped pages appear on your blog when you click Favorites. They will also appear in the Pages Liked tab.
There are two ways to review a page. We'll look at a review that consists of a picture.
On the page you want to review,
- First, click the thumbs up button in the toolbar, if you like it.
- Then find an image you like on the page. With your mouse over the image you like, right click and choose Stumbleupon Photoblog It!. A review box will open with HTML that you can edit if you wish, or add any text you want before or after. You don't have to add anything though. Just choose the tags you want (we'll talk about tags in a minute), and click submit.
Now go back and look at your favorites. You'll see that your picture is the only entry and all the pages you thumbs upped before only appear on the Pages Liked tab.
